Children’s Dentistry
|
At Caspian Dental we love to treat your kids and put them
in ultimate comfort.
We recommend children start coming to the dentist at an
early age around 3 to 4. It is a good idea for the child to come with their
parents for a short check up, meet the dental team and we introduce the dental
chair and equipments in a play-like manner.

Eruption Dates for Children’s
Teeth
The
primary teeth (baby teeth) usually erupt through the gums when the kid is about
6 months old. Up to 3 years of age, all of the baby teeth should erupt. Between
6 and 11 years of age, the child starts to lose the primary teeth.
The first permanent tooth erupts at the age of about 6
years (6 years old molar). The second molars usually erupt around the age
of 12 and the 3rd molar usually later before the age of 21.
Dental Care for Children
The best dental care for children starts before their permanent
teeth appear. Some important guidelines are listed below:
Use a soft wet cloth or gauze pad to clean your child's
mouth when they are under one year old.
From
one up to 3 years of age, use a little fluoride toothpaste. Be careful not
let the child swallow the tooth paste.
At
4 years of age, your child should learn to clean his/her teeth but make sure
you supervise them.
